Support for UN Global Compact

 

We are a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, which is a set of universal principles on human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption advocated by the United Nations.
Ebara Corporation signed the United Nations Global Compact on June 30, 2009. We strive to improve ESG management by implementing and continuously improving the 10 principles of the Global Compact.

The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact


 

Human Rights

Principle 1 Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights;
Principle 2 Ensure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.


 

Labour

Principle 3 Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of collective bargaining;
Principle 4 The elimination of all forms of forced labour;
Principle 5 The effective abolition of child labour;
Principle 6 The elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.


 

Environment

Principle 7 Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
Principle 8 Businesses should undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility;
Principle 9 Businesses should encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.


 

Anti-Corruption

Principle 10 Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.


Participation in the GX Future Consortium (GXFC)

EBARA Corporation is a participant in the GX Future Consortium (GXFC), established in April 2026.

The GXFC promotes green transformation through public-private partnerships, integrating selected functions of the TCFD Consortium and the GX League.

We support the objectives of the GXFC and will continue working toward achieving a virtuous cycle of  decarbonization and economic growth.
