EBARA CORPORATION (hereinafter “EBARA”) has once again been awarded the highest “A” rating in the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) conducted by CDP*1 an international non-profit organization, following its achievement in 2024. Companies selected for the “A” rating are recognized for working collaboratively with their suppliers on climate action initiatives and are expected to play a key role in the transition to a sustainable economy aimed at achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.
EBARA earns CDP 2025 Supplier Engagement Assessment “A” Rating for Second Consecutive Year
1. Background and Objectives
As part of its efforts to realize the vision set forth in its long-term vision ” E-Vision 2035”, EBARA has identified “Strengthening Environmental Management” as one of its five key material issues. Among its targets through 2028, the Company aims to maintain a Leadership-level rating (A or A-) in CDP’s Climate Change category.
In CDP 2025, EBARA received an A- rating in both the Climate Change and Water Security categories. Based on these disclosures, the Company also earned an A rating in the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA).
2. Overview
CDP conducts the Supplier Engagement Assessment to promote stronger engagement by purchasing organizations (buyer companies) in order to accelerate greenhouse gas emissions reduction actions across global supply chains.
EBARA provides its business partners with the EBARA CSR Procurement Guidelines and encourages them to continuously pursue initiatives that reduce environmental impact. In addition, the Company conducts a CSR procurement survey of its suppliers once every three years and engages in dialogue based on the survey results. These ongoing efforts contributed to EBARA’s achievement of the SEA “A” rating.

3. Future Developments
Among the five material issues identified in E-Vision 2035, EBARA has established “Contributing to the Creation of a Sustainable Society” as a key priority. As part of its targets through 2028, the Company aims to achieve a 75% compliance rate with CSR procurement requirements among its key suppliers.
By working together with its suppliers toward a more sustainable society, EBARA seeks to build strong relationships and partnerships based on mutual trust, while promoting mutual growth and contributing to the resolution of social challenges.
