Research and Development

Work responsibilities
As part of our research into xR technology, we are investigating development methods for AR, MR, and VR. Currently, I am development a simulator using XR technology in cooperation with Miura and other members of the Training Section. Research, by itself, does not help EBARA. We are thinking about how to use the results of our research to contribute to business and increase the profits of the company, and the xR simulator can help us achieve this.
Skill development and sharing expertise with other employees
As this was the first attempt of its kind for the company, we did not have anyone with experience, so we studied development methods by referring to VR developer blogs around the world. XR development has a short history and new technologies are frequently being released. I believe that new development methods will be created in the next year, so I will keep up with new information so that I do not miss out on changes. Regarding sharing know-how, the Training Department has requested that they learn how to develop xR, so we are considering preparing some kind of curriculum.
Future goals & message to young people
I would like to develop a simulator that allows people to take training anytime, as long as they have a device. In addition, the simulator we are currently developing is a one-player simulator, but I would like to take on the challenge of sharing a training room with multiple players by incorporating network game technology. XR development is becoming easier with new technologies every year, and I think it will be the ideas of what kinds of services to make that will be most important. We hope that young people will use their imagination to help develop new services.
