The work I am in charge of

As a member of EMTAC, I work with the EBARA Group and each division to find solutions to issues and concerns in manufacturing. In particular, they are in charge of the field of machining and welding. It's rewarding to discuss the best way to solve a problem with a team member, and when it comes to fruition. EMTAC also creates development prototypes for the divisions. Since there are requests for prototypes of different shapes and materials each time, it is not easy to think about manufacturing methods. It is also necessary to meet the desired delivery date of the business unit. We are not bound by a single method, and we try to propose manufacturing methods that take advantage of EMTAC's strengths.

Skill development and sharing expertise with other employees

The sharing of technology and know-how is one of the important roles of EMTAC. By working together with EMTAC engineers and manufacturing sites to solve manufacturing issues faced at various manufacturing sites, production issues can be solved at manufacturing sites, and new technologies acquired at EMTAC can be deployed horizontally within the Group. This leads to the sharing of know-how. As for acquiring my own skills, I have been engaged in welding-related work for a long time since I joined the company, but when I was a student, I only experienced welding in practical training. It can be said that I have acquired knowledge and skills related to welding through on-the-job training after joining the company.

What I want to do in future, and my message to young people

I think the appeal of Ebara is that it is an environment where anyone, regardless of age or gender, can take on challenges. There is also an environment that warmly welcomes those who take on challenges. I feel that there are very few people who are afraid or resistant to change. Because they can do what they want to do, there are probably few employees who are conscious of being "forced" to do their work. Welding and machining, which I am involved in, are inconspicuous but "key" technologies in the world of manufacturing. It's really fun to be involved in products through that technology, and it would be great if there were more people to work with.
