Junpei Uta

My role is to create the "environment" of our manufacturing sites. Specifically, I am working on improving the work environment to make it easier and safer by introducing new equipment, replacing aging facilities, and designing and providing instructions for the production of jigs (auxiliary tools) used in our manufacturing processes. Since joining our company, I have worked at Kunimi Factory and have experience with all the processing machines here. When I was involved in press-related initiatives, I oversaw the production technology group, and currently, I serve as the head of several organizations, including the procurement, logistics, and production technology group. 

I believe that it’s essential to ‘learn by doing.’ For me, it's not about sticking to prior explanations, but rather gaining a feel for things through hands-on practice, and then thinking, "What's the next step?" If you only rely on what you heard from the beginning, you won't be able to do anything. The development of members has also been focused on practical education, prioritizing safety with the spirit of "let's just try it!" I have always embraced this spirit of challenge. I make a point of telling them, "Even if you fail, I’ll take responsibility!" 

My next challenge is to organize monozukuri exchange meetings for the various EBARA Group sites. It would be great if we could exchange opinions while doing hands-on work, not just through classroom training. EBARA's strength is its brand power, backed by a solid track record and reputation for quality and service. Among our sites, Kunimi Factory is unique because it handles the entire manufacturing process, from processing to assembly. The technical skills of our employees are also high, which makes it an ideal environment for anyone interested in monozukuri.
