Career and base in home country
I have been working at Ebara Vietnam Pump Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as EVPC) in Vietnam since 2018. EVPC manufactures and sells pump-related castings and manufactured products, as well as finished pumps, and employs approximately 330 people. As an inspector, I carry out PT inspections (penetrant testing) to check for scratches on the surface of finished castings and canned products, as well as appearance inspections and dimensional inspections to measure products.
Reason for coming to Japan and subject of training
In 2023, I applied to the EBARA human resources development program Global Career Development Program and came to Japan because I wanted to learn about the inspection methods used in Japan, as well as to learn about the casting process and relevant knowledge and acquire skills. In order to learn about the casting process in Japan, I took a practical test of the Casting Proficiency Test and learned about the importance of the timing behind removing molds while actually observing the process. I also learned how to measure and evaluate dimensions using 3D measurement and how to create reports to communicate the results. I am also studying Japanese and would like to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test during my training.
Goals after returning to home country
I would like to spread the casting techniques and 3D measurement evaluation methods I learned in Japan, as well as general inspection techniques, at EVPC. My goal is to improve the level of workers at EVPC by providing them with the optimal technologies and inspection methods. In addition, I would like to give back to the Japanese employees what I have learned while working with them, such as managing the safety and hygiene of the workplace.
