Work responsibilities

I am a trainer who provides equipment training to customers of CMP equipment (semiconductor manufacturing equipment) that we sell both domestically and overseas, as well as to engineers from precision equipment-related companies. Sometimes I am in charge of basic training for new recruits who have just joined the company, but a few years later, I also give mid-level employee training to the same people, and it makes me happy when I see them able to converse on an equal footing with me, or when I see them grow into even better engineers.

Skill development and sharing expertise with other employees

I am still learning about the xR training I am currently doing. Last year, I studied by myself and passed the VR Engineer Certification Examination (Theory Course) from the Virtual Reality Society of Japan. Next, I am aiming to pass the application course exam. We have received inquiries from many departments about how to utilize xR technology, and we have conducted numerous demonstrations and introductions.
On the other hand, when it came to learning the technology of real CMP equipment, I think I was the type of person who proactively raised my hand and worked hard at anything, with the belief that it was worth the effort when I was young.

Future goals & message to young people

In the case of precision products, where development speeds and platform rotation cycles are fast, we would like to develop xR training once the design of a new product is complete, making it possible to provide training in a timely manner. In the field of after-sales service, I hope to see AI-enabled abnormality diagnoses and work assistance using AR be adopted. Ebara tends to have an old-fashioned image, but I want people to know that there are many people with innovative ideas that are not bound by form, and I want us to work together to create free-form products.
