In order to fulfill EBARA's goal of “delivering water to 600 million people,” we are developing pump products for overseas markets. I am mainly in charge of stainless steel pumps and cast iron products used for applications such as water intake from wells and water supply for industrial plants. I often design new products based on development requests from EBARA's overseas group companies and planning departments. There are many cases where customer needs differ between pumps intended for the domestic market and those for overseas markets. The standards that must be complied with during product development also vary by country. Based on these factors, I proceed with products design.

I originally studied thermal fluid engineering in Post graduate school in India and always wanted to work overseas someday. Among the countries with high GDP at the time, specifically the U.S., China, and Japan, I was interested in why Japan achieved such good results despite its relatively small population, which is why I decided to work in this country. This is because GDP tends to be proportional to population size. So, I looked for a Japanese company where I could make use of my expertise, which led me to join EBARA. My current motivation for my job is learning new skills and knowledge. It makes me happy to acquire skills necessary to overcome the challenges that appear right in front of me.

I feel that EBARA is a brand trusted by customers around the world. To further expand this brand, I would like to find new markets and new customers who need our pumps, and meet the needs of Relevant country’s technical standards.
