PT. Ebara Turbomachinery Services Indonesia

Career and base in home country

I have been working at PT. Ebara Turbomachinery Services Indonesia (ETSI) in Indonesia since 2018. ETSI is a base for repairing compressors and pumps, and about 51 people work there. It is a relatively new base of the EBARA Group, which was established in 2015, and I have worked there as a repair engineer.

Reason for coming to Japan and subject of training

Ever since I was a student, I wanted to work in Japan someday. I also had a strong desire to gain new experiences while working at ETSI. In 2023, I applied to the EBARA Group human resources development program Global Career Development Program and came to Japan. In Japan, besides learning about thermal spraying and welding, I am gaining valuable experience working in cutting-edge facilities and laboratories that are not available at ETSI. Apart from that, Japanese employees are used to being on time and offices are clean and well-organized. This kind of sincerity in work is a learning experience.

Goals after returning to home country

In addition to the research and development of micro-thermal spraying, which is now my main business, I was able to learn a lot about Ebara systems, business culture, and new knowledge and experience in Japan. I would like to bring these back to Indonesia. In particular, ETSI is interested in micro-spraying technology, and if it is to be introduced someday, I would like to contribute by making use of this experience.
