Received an order for pump equipment construction for Tsuguchi Shibaguchi Drainage Pumping Station in Kumamoto Prefecture

EBARA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as EBARA) has acquired the Tsuguchi Shibaguchi Drainage Pumping Station from Kumamoto Prefecture. ^*1 (hereinafter referred to as "this plant"), we have received an order for the construction of three new large pumps.

The area in which this facility is located is in the northern part of Yatsushiro City, a former reclaimed land surrounded by the Hikawa and Kagami rivers. The farming is centered around rice, but also involves growing rush grass and vegetables. Until now, flooding has been prevented by draining water from a nearby pumping station when heavy rains fell, but in recent years, increased Water quantity due to climate change and other factors have led to flooding damage. To solve this problem, the construction of this new farm will prevent flooding damage and contribute to stable agricultural management in the region.
