EBARA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "EBARA") is participating in an activity run by the nonprofit organization TABLE FOR TWO International to provide school meals to children in developing countries. We have received a letter of appreciation from TABLE FOR TWO, who have recognized us as a "Gold Partner" for our support in 2024.

1. Background and Objectives

Of the world's population of approximately 8 billion, approximately 800 million suffer from malnutrition, while nearly 2 billion people have health issues caused by diet, such as obesity and lifestyle-related diseases.
" TABLE FOR TWOopens in a new tab " is a social contribution program that aims to improve the diets of developed countries and eliminate hunger in developing countries, with the goal of simultaneously improving the health of both, in order to solve the global issue of "food imbalance."
Under its long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030," EBARA is working to realize a sustainable society, and has set "contributing to the development of global local communities" as one of its key themes in its social contribution activities. Based on this idea, we empathize with the philosophy advocated by TABLE FOR TWO of "simultaneously improving health issues in both developed and developing countries," and continue to promote its activities.

2. Overview

EBARA's "Eat a Healthy Lunch" Donation *1 and matching donations *2 We are working on.
This activity began in 2015 at the employee cafeterias of the Head Office and the Futtsu, Fujisawa, and Sodegaura Works, and was added to the employee cafeteria at the Kumamoto Works in 2018, so it is now being carried out at a total of five worksites. In 2024, donations provided more than 27,000 school meals to countries in Africa and Asia. Supporting school lunches also contributes to increasing school attendance rates, leading to the development of human resources who will lead the future. This initiative marks its 10th year this year, and has raised a cumulative total of over 5 million yen.

3. Future plans

Going forward, we will continue to work toward our goal of "contributing to global local communities," one of the key themes in our policy on social contribution activities.
