Five water pumps were delivered to the Sapporo Pump Station and Water Supply Facilities (Hokkaido).

Pump chamber

EBARA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "EBARA") delivered five water pumps to the Sapporo Pump Station and Water Split Facilities (hereinafter referred to as "the Aircraft Station") ordered by the Ishikari Seibu Wide Area Water Supply Corporation.

1. Background

In recent years, there have been cases in which water sources and water supply facilities have been damaged by disasters such as heavy rains. In order to secure more than one stable water source and water supply route in Sapporo City, the construction of water supply facilities using Tobetsu dam as a water source was promoted in addition to the conventional Toyohira-gawa River. This will enable the stable supply of tap water to households and workplaces even when one of the water supply channels is damaged by accidents or disasters and cannot be delivered. This plant, one of the infrastructure facilities related to water supply, will play an increasingly important role in the future.

2. Overview

Water extracted from the Tobetsu dam is sent to the plant via the water purification facility. At this plant, water is sent to the Western Distribution Pond by our pumps at a stable water volume and pressure, and it is then safely delivered to households and workplaces in Sapporo.
