Basic agreement reached on Ebara Environmental Plant chemical recycling demonstration project


Ebara Environmental Plant Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Ebara Environmental Plant), a group company of Ebara Corporation, has established a joint venture with Envipro Holdings Co., Ltd. and its consolidated subsidiary Bright Innovation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Envipro Group) *1 ) that the EnviPro Group will be responsible for the procurement and management of industrial waste, which is the raw material for a chemical recycling demonstration project (hereinafter referred to as the Project).

Among the five material issues in the long-term vision "E-Vision 2030," the EBARA Group has set "contribution to the creation of a sustainable society" and "thorough environmental management." Currently, we are promoting the development of our proprietary technology, "ICFG® Internal Circulation Fluidized Bed Gasification System," in Chiba Prefecture. *2 We are currently proceeding with the construction of a demonstration plant. This plant will demonstrate that the oil and gas produced by pyrolysis of waste plastics can be used as raw materials for manufacturing plastics.
The Envipro Group will support this project by providing the raw material waste plastics and managing their procurement.

The EBARA Group aims to commercialize chemical recycling by 2030 in order to put waste plastic resource circulation technology into practice in society, and will continue to work on technological development that creates new value.
