EBARA Environmental Plant Co., Ltd. ("EBARA Environmental Plant"), a group company of EBARA Corporation, will accelerate its efforts in chemical recycling demonstration projects to realize plastic resource recycling, bearing in mind the application of the Law Concerning the Promotion of Recycling of Resources Pertaining to Plastics and the Law Concerning Advancement of Recycling Businesses to Promote Recycling of Resources.
The EBARA Group's long-term vision, "E-Vision2030," includes five materiality issues: contributing to the creation of a sustainable society, and ensuring thorough environmental management. Currently, we are constructing a demonstration plant for our proprietary ICFG® internal circulation fluidized bed gasification system in Chiba Prefecture. This plant demonstrates that the oil and gas generated by the thermal decomposition of waste plastics can be used as raw materials for plastic production. Going forward, we will continue to develop technologies that create new value with the aim of commercializing chemical recycling by 2030 for the social implementation of waste plastic recycling technologies.
