Received an order for pump equipment construction for the Hokkaido Regional Development Bureau's Kyoritsu Drainage Pumping Station (Hokkaido)

Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") has received an order for the construction of two new pump facilities for the Kyoritsu Drainage Pumping Station (hereinafter referred to as "the Station"), which is being constructed by the Hokkaido Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

1. Background

The facility is located in the agricultural area of Kitami City, Hokkaido. In this area, agricultural operations combine wheat, onions, sugar beets, potatoes, and other crops. Construction of a pumping station and drainage channels was completed in the 1990s as regional infrastructure, improving drainage and making agricultural work more efficient. However, recent changes in rainfall have left drainage capacity insufficient, and facilities have deteriorated over time, as well as the costs involved in maintaining the facilities, meaning measures to prevent flooding damage are needed.

2. Overview

The construction project that Ebara received involves the manufacture and installation of two drainage pumps as well as the complete pump system, including drive equipment and monitoring and control equipment. By installing a pump system at this farm, we will contribute to improving agricultural productivity and reducing farming costs.
