Ebara Corporation (hereafter: Ebara) will hold a summer vacation short-term school project “Ebara Land” from 2024/7/29 (Monday) to 8/2 (Friday) to support employees in balancing childcare and career. Furthermore, school childcare planning by companies is a new initiative unrivaled by major domestic pump manufacturers.

1. Background

Currently, there are a wide range of household situations, such as double income households and single parent households. One of the key issues in our long-term vision of "E-Vision2030" is to promote the active participation of human resources. We have promoted a variety of initiatives, such as supporting the 100% declaration of men's childcare leave and promoting telework, so that diverse employees can work with a sense of job satisfaction and comfort. Furthermore, “contribution to creating a sustainable society” has also been set as an important issue, and we are actively promoting social contribution activities.
Now, with the aim of further improving the ease of work for employees and creating opportunities for employees' children to experience Ebara's social contribution activities, we will be holding a summer vacation short-term school project “Ebara Land” according to the timing when schools go on long vacations.

4. Thoughts put into naming The name of this school children's project was publicly solicited for all Ebara Group employees, and a total of 60 applications were

received. The final candidates were narrowed down by employee voting from the collected name proposals, and it was decided to be “Ebara Land,” which is a neologism that combines the company name “Ebara” and “land,” which has an image of a fun place, and creates a soft sound in hiragana and katakana.

5. Future prospects We will look back after implementation and consider expanding company-wide expansion so that it can be expanded to support the

improvement of workability for more employees. Furthermore, in the future, we will consider holding events not only for employees' children, but also for children in neighboring regions. The EBARA Group aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and further enhance its corporate value by addressing key ESG issues based on its long-term vision and medium-term management plan.
