Donation to Survey Mountain Light-up Activities in Muroran City, Hokkaido

Ebara Corp. (EBARA) donated to the Muroran Renaissance, a general incorporated association that conducts light-up activities for a survey mountain (Sokuryozan), a symbol of Muroran City, Hokkaido.

1. Background

The survey mountain, which can be seen all over Muroran City, is located about 200 meters above sea level and is a symbol of Muroran City and is familiar to the local community. The light-up of the survey mountain illuminates six television towers on the top of the mountain. The lights continue to be illuminated by donations from local corporations and organizations as well as individuals. Light-up lights up on July 1 of this year, starting in November 1988, and continuously lighting up for 13,000 days, in consideration of the natural environment and under the condition of limited lighting time.

2. Overview

More than 30 years have passed since Ebara set up an office in Muroran. As a local company, this initiative is one of the activities that contribute to neighboring residents and visitors to tourism.

3. Future Plans

Ebara's long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030," aims to support "an earth-friendly society, social infrastructure that allows people to live safely and securely, and a world where people do not have to worry about water or food," and to "contribute to the creation of a sustainable society." The EBARA Group will address material ESG issues based on its long-term vision and medium-term management plan in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and further increase its corporate value.
