Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") has installed an additional large pump to drain storm water flowing into the Sasayama Drainage Pump Station (hereinafter referred to as "this station").

1. Background

This area, which is the third most populous city in Fukuoka Prefecture, has been undergoing urbanization for about 40 years, and is now lined with railways, major roads, companies, universities, and many other facilities. 2. Overview

With the installation of the new large pump, the drainage capacity of this plant has increased by approximately 1.2 times, to 34 tons per second.
