Received an Order for Large Water Pump Expansion Project in Las Vegas

Ebara Corporation (hereafter: Ebara) has received an order for 8 large water pumps for Las Vegas, Nevada from the Nevada Water Authority (hereafter: SNWA) of the United States.

1. Background and Objectives

Las Vegas, a tourist city, is located in a desert area with little rainfall. The water supply of large cities with large populations is supported by the Lake Mead created by Hoover Dam, which is stored from water sources such as the Colorado River. In order to flexibly respond to the water demand for Lake Mead water in river basins, including central Las Vegas, pumps will now be added to 2 pumping stations.

2. Overview

Ebara has a track record of delivering 12 large pumps to SNWA's facility Lamb Pump Station and Sloan Pump Station about 20 years ago. Now, by adding 8 large pumps from Ebara to each water delivery facility (pump station), we will solve the problems faced by SNWA due to water demand that has further increased in recent years.
