EBARA Ltd. (EBARA) received an order from the Kinki Regional Development Bureau for the renovation of pumping equipment at the Morima Drainage Plant (hereinafter referred to as "this plant"), following the previous year. The largest drainage pump in the country is 4000 mm in diameter.

1. Background and Objectives
This unit is located in the large river, which is comparatively close to Osaka Bay and is separated from the Yodo River in the first class river. It was constructed about 40 years ago to prevent local flooding during high tides and as a measure against flooding in the river basin caused by heavy rain, and has continued to protect the surrounding areas, mainly the urban area of Osaka City, in the surrounding river basin. However, in recent years, signs of wear and corrosion have emerged due to aging, and the drainage pumps are being gradually refurbished. A total of six large drainage pumps are installed at this station. All pumps have a diameter of 4,000 mm, making this one of Japan's largest drainage pumping stations, with the capacity to drain 330 tons of water per second when all pumps are in operation. As in the previous year, we will carry out renovation work on one of the six units.
2. Overview
The renovation work for this pump facility is scheduled as follows. By disassembling, servicing, and diagnosing the pump, we can maintain the drainage function of the machine and reduce facility maintenance and management costs.

3. Future plans
EBARA has the leading domestic supply of pumps for rainwater drainage plants, and is currently carrying out many projects, such as renewal and remodeling, as well as new construction.
