Kumamoto Prefecture Matsubara Drainage Station Pump Equipment Construction Order Received

EBARA Corporation (hereafter: EBARA) has received an order from Kumamoto Prefecture to renew pump equipment at the Matsubara Drainage Station (hereafter: this airport).

This district is located in the center of Uto city, and is an area where complex farming is thriving, combining paddy rice, vegetables, fruit trees, etc. In this region where the elevation is low, the possibility that flooding damage will occur has increased due to river flooding due to heavy rains and aging of existing drainage stations, which are thought to be affected by climate change in recent years. This time, a main airport will be built nearby to replace the existing drainage station, and new pump equipment will contribute to preventing flooding damage in the region.

The current construction is scheduled as follows. When the six newly installed pumps are in operation, the drainage capacity of this station is 2,280 m³/min. This is the ability to empty about 4 standard 25m pools of water in about 1 minute.
