Selected and awarded as a contractor with excellent safety management by the Director General of the Kanto Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism

Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") has been recognized by the Director-General of the Kanto Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in the "Excellent Safety Management Contractor" category of the "FY2022 Director-General's Awards for Excellent Construction Works, etc." This award recognizes Ebara's efforts to improve safety measures in construction projects completed in fiscal 2022. This is the second time the award has been given, following last year.

The river basins under the jurisdiction of the Kanto Regional Development Bureau are areas with many homes, businesses, and major transportation routes. EBARA has delivered many large drainage pumps to drainage pumping stations in order to reduce inland flooding and other damage caused by rivers rising due to heavy rains.

Ebara is solving the problem of urban flooding, which has become increasingly severe in recent years, through comprehensive engineering, including proposals, design, procurement, mechanical equipment construction, and after-sales service for pump equipment and other facilities. In the construction project ordered by the Kanto Regional Development Bureau that was the subject of this evaluation, all the people involved actively worked on "safety and health management" and "safety education" to prevent industrial accidents, and the construction was completed without any accidents.

Ebara's long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030," aims to support "an earth-friendly society, social infrastructure where people can live safely and securely, and a world where people do not have to worry about water or food," and to "contribute to the creation of a sustainable society." EBARA's social systems business will support the strengthening of social infrastructure through the development of pumps with improved drainage capacity and the provision of easily maintained equipment and services.
