In line with Pride Month in June, when LGBTQ+ awareness activities are held around the world, Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Ebara) created a rainbow logo as a symbol of respecting sexual diversity and striving to create a work environment where all employees can work comfortably and be themselves.
Rainbow-colored company logo created to further promote diversity, equity, and inclusion

1. Background
In promoting task diversity, EBARA is working to create an environment that can contribute to an organization where everyone is treated equally, regardless of gender, and where everyone, including LGBTQ+, can speak freely. The rainbow flag was created by Gilbert Baker to support LGBTQ+ activities, and as of 2023 it consists of six colors (at the time of its creation there were eight colors, with pink and turquoise excluded due to printing technology issues).
The eight colors represent:
・Pink = Sex
・Red = Life
・Orange = Healing
・Yellow = Sun
・Green = Nature
・Turquoise = Art
・Navy = Harmony
・Purple = Spirit
To demonstrate its strong sympathy and support for the ideals conceived by Gilbert Baker, EBARA will promote understanding of LGBTQ+ through the creation of its own rainbow logo and through opportunities for awareness-raising both inside and outside the company, aiming to create a work environment where everyone can work comfortably and be themselves.
2-1 Overview
The gradient rainbow logo we have created reflects our company's vision of removing all barriers and creating a diverse environment to generate new innovation.
Through our efforts to promote task diversity, we will promote the creation of a corporate culture of "competition and challenge" that makes use of the intangible differences in each person's essential knowledge, background, mindset, and other aspects, rather than being caught up in visible differences.
3. Future developments
In order to aim to be a company where LGBTQ+ people can have active discussions about their own sexuality as one individual, we will expand the circle of LGBTQ+ awareness as one theme of data-driven task diversity through people analytics AI, ambassadors, and Ally activities.
We will accelerate the realization of "promoting the active participation of human resources," which is listed as a materiality of our long-term vision E-Vision 2030, and further improve our corporate value by improving the well-being of each employee (a state of happiness and fulfillment in all aspects, physically, mentally, and socially).
The EBARA Group will further improve its corporate value by addressing ESG key issues based on its long-term vision and medium-term management plan, aiming to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
