Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as EBARA) has expressed support for " Business for Marriage Equality (hereinafter referred to as BME)" which promotes equality of marriage (legislation of same-sex marriage) in Japan.
Supporting Business for Marriage Equality

1. Background
In our long-term vision, "E-Vision2030," we advocate "creating a corporate culture of competing and taking on challenges, enabling diverse employees to work with a sense of job satisfaction and comfort and to play an active role." In January 2022, we launched the Diversity Project under the direct supervision of the president, considering that not only visible differences in gender and nationality, but also inclusion that cannot be seen, such as experience and job type, is essential not only for corporate growth but also for the growth of each employee. Through support for BME, we will contribute to the realization of a society in which everyone can maintain psychological safety and work in a safe and fair manner.
2-1 Overview
BME is a joint project. It was launched in November 2020 by three organizations: Marriage For All Japan - freedom of marriage to all (MFAJ), the NPO LGBT and the Legal Network for Alliance (LLAN), and the certified NPO Rainbow Diversity. As of May 10, 2023, 381 companies and organizations have expressed their support for the equality of marriage (legislation of homosexual marriage).
By respecting the diversity of sex, we aim to realize a world in which innovation can be brought about by the backgrounds and inherent skills of each employee without being trapped in the concept of sex. To respect diversity, we will also improve the environment by designing systems and installing multi-purpose toilets.
