Participating in the "LVNS Forest Project"

Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Ebara) has participated in the "LVNS Forest Project," launched by Leave a Nest Co., Ltd., which aims to create a new social system in which we coexist with forests, which nurture diverse organisms and serve as a place for the circulation of carbon resources and water.

1. Background

As a company that supports social infrastructure including water, the environment, energy, and digital technology, we aim to promote ESG management and contribute to creating a sustainable society based on the important issues set out in our long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030." In particular, in recent years, we have been proactively working on reducing CO2 emissions, improving and streamlining water infrastructure, achieving carbon neutrality, developing technologies for utilizing hydrogen energy, and conserving water sources. This project will not only increase carbon sinks, but also contribute to preserving water resources and biodiversity. Through our participation in this project, we hope to contribute to the sustainable development of countries around the world and the realization of safe, secure and prosperous societies.

2. Overview of the LVNS Forest Project

Utilizing the assets of the 12 Japanese companies participating in this project, we aim to develop new ways of living and social systems by promoting the development of deep tech to build new reforestation systems, research and development to generate valuable materials from forests, and educational activities to foster awareness of coexistence with forests.

3. Future developments

Last year, we declared that we would achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. We will continue to take on the challenge of building a decarbonized society through energy conservation, promoting the introduction of renewable energy, and developing highly energy-efficient products. In addition, as a company that supports social infrastructure, we will support the development of Southeast Asia and work with local people to contribute to the development of infrastructure in harmony with the environment, accelerating efforts to regenerate forests and solve water shortage problems together with Leave a Nest and participating companies.
The EBARA Group aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by addressing key ESG issues based on its long-term vision and medium-term management plan, and to further improve its corporate value.
