Establishment of Ebara's unique "Ambassador" system for recruitment
1. Background
In our long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030," we aim to become a corporate group where diverse employees can thrive, feeling motivated and comfortable in their work. To achieve this, we need to foster a corporate culture that encourages competition and challenge, and we need people who can bring about change by thinking and acting independently to improve corporate value. In order to ensure that diverse and challenging talents maintain psychological safety and can thrive with peace of mind, we have launched the "Ambassador" system in 2023.
2-1 Overview
Since 2021, we have been conducting data-driven recruitment activities using people analytics. However, people analytics revealed that companies were not adequately addressing areas such as pre-application attraction, appeal, branding, compatibility between interviewers and applicants, and onboarding after an offer is made. To address these challenges, we redesigned the recruiting process and built a data platform that enables instant decision-making. Using the talent portfolio derived from people analytics, we were able to identify factors that indicate an interest in interpersonal relationships and strong presentation skills. We define people with high scores in this factor as "ambassadors" and create specialized jobs to further materialize our "corporate culture of competition and challenge."
3. Future developments
In the future, ambassadors will promote the appeal of the business to stakeholders inside and outside the company and motivate people during job interviews as part of a branding strategy to attract a diverse range of people who want to take on new challenges. At the same time, we will be working on a data-driven onboarding strategy for new and transferred employees. In addition, by combining existing measures using elements of the metaverse, diversity, and the Ebara Group Technology Element Table, we will strive to create a branding strategy, acquire diverse talent, and build an environment in which employees can thrive after joining the company.
