Received order for repair work of pump equipment at Ejiri Drainage Pump Station, Tohoku Agricultural Administration Bureau


EBARA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "EBARA") has received an order from the Tohoku Agricultural Administration Bureau for repair work of pump equipment at the Ejiri Drainage Pump Station (hereinafter referred to as "the main pump station").

1. Background

This region is located in the southern part of Miyagi Prefecture and is an agricultural area surrounded by mountains through which the Abukuma River, a first class river, flows. For about 30 years, the farm has protected this area from flood damage, where rice cultivation is the main crop and vegetable and fruit tree farming is conducted. When all four pumps are in operation, it has the capacity to discharge 62 tons per second, making it the largest pumping station in the prefecture. However, in recent years, the entire facility has been undergoing major renovations due to unforeseen circumstances such as sudden equipment stoppages and the deterioration of the facility's functions over time.
