Received an order for renewal and maintenance work at the Iizumi Pumping Station (Kanagawa Prefecture Wide-area Waterworks Corporation)

EBARA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "EBARA") is pleased to announce that it has received an order for the renewal of electrical equipment (including pump equipment maintenance work) at the Izumi Pumping Station of the Kanagawa Prefecture Wide-Area Waterworks Corporation.

1. Background

The Iizumi Pumping Station is a facility that pumps water from the Sakawa River, which flows through the western part of Kanagawa Prefecture, to a water conduit tunnel in Kamisoga, Odawara City, about 4.7 km away. The water is then routed to each water purification plant owned by the Kanagawa Prefecture Regional Waterworks Corporation, where it is purified and used as tap water.

2. Overview

As the amount of water demand changes due to seasons, weather, etc., it is necessary to change the amount of water conducted by the water supply pump. Water conduction pumps are required to adjust the number of pumps and the rotational speed according to the required amount of water, and to continue stable operation as an infrastructure facility. In addition to extending the life of the pumping equipment, the renewal work ordered this time will also update the speed control device to ensure a stable supply.
