Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") received the "IR Excellent Company Award" for the first time at the "IR Excellent Company Awards 2022" sponsored by the Japan Investor Relations Association.
The IR Excellent Company Awards, now in their 27th year, aim to select and recognize companies that have achieved outstanding results, such as having a deep understanding of the purpose of investor relations, actively working on it, and gaining high support from market participants. This year, 344 companies applied, and a total of 13 companies were awarded: two for the "IR Best Company Grand Prize," six for the "IR Best Company Award," three for the "IR Best Company Special Award," and two for the "IR Best Company Encouragement Award."
Our company was selected for the following reasons. (From a news release from the Japan Investor Relations Association)
- Top management is strongly involved in IR and sends out clear messages.
- Each year, the company has improved its disclosure materials and dialogue opportunities, improving its reputation among investors.
- The content of IR Day and ESG briefing sessions is also substantial. As part of its corporate governance reforms, the company is focusing on meetings between outside directors and capital market participants. Participating investors have praised the event as an opportunity to understand how outside directors contribute to improving corporate value.
We believe that providing opportunities for constructive dialogue between a wide range of management, including not only top management but also directors, outside directors and executive officers, and shareholders, investors and other stakeholders, and proactively disclosing information will lead to an increase in our corporate value, and have been working to improve our IR activities. Going forward, we will continue to work toward IR activities that satisfy investors and increase our corporate value.
The EBARA Group will work to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and further increase our corporate value by addressing important ESG issues based on our long-term vision and medium-term management plan.
