1. Background
Located almost in the center of Saga Prefecture, this region is primarily involved in agriculture, producing rice, wheat, soybeans, and other crops. The Ushio River basin, a first-class river that flows through the city, suffered extensive flooding damage due to record-breaking rainfall in 2019, and a floodplain project is currently underway. The purpose of this project is to reduce flood damage by creating a flood basin that temporarily stores floodwaters from the Ushizu River.
2. Overview
The new plant being constructed this time is a facility for draining water from the floodplain into the river. EBARA designs, manufactures, and constructs large drainage pumps and related equipment, contributing to regional flood control measures that reduce damage caused by heavy rain.

3. Future developments
