Joined Metaverse Japan General Incorporated Association

Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") joined the general incorporated association Metaverse Japan (hereinafter referred to as "MVJ") in September 2022.

1. Background

We are working to utilize the metaverse to promote the participation of diverse talent and to help with data-driven strategy and decision-making. With a view to breaking away from existing business models and considering and introducing new ways of working, we aim to promote management and human resource development using the metaverse.

2-1 Overview

Our company is currently developing and examining our own unique people analytics, led by our Data Strategy Team, which was launched in July 2022. We will be a pioneer in proactively utilizing the metaverse and creating use cases for it. To achieve this goal, we will work to actively collaborate not only with internal experts but also with external experts and industry-leading organizations. As part of this activity, we decided to join MVJ. At MVJ, we will exchange opinions through various working groups, study sessions, and events with the aim of effectively utilizing personal digital twins and the metaverse in the manufacturing industry.

3. Future developments

By participating in MVJ activities in the future, we will discuss the creation of B to B use cases and rule-making in the business of metaverse life, Web3 metaverse, and digital twin society. In addition, by combining our people analytics, we will work to promote data-driven x diversity (Metaversity*) using the metaverse, with a view to building a new human resource development model and personal digital twins on the metaverse.
