1. Background
In our long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030," we aim to become a corporate group where diverse employees can thrive, feeling motivated and comfortable in their work. We believe that the inclusion of not only visible differences such as gender and nationality, but also invisible differences such as experience and occupation is essential not only for the growth of the company but also for the growth of each employee. The Diversity Project and Data Strategy Team, which reports directly to the President, introduced and promoted the use of the metaverse in September 2022 as a measure to promote data-driven task diversity (invisible differences in experience, way of thinking, majors, work history, etc.).

In the virtual space, it is possible to judge things from an essential point of view without relying on visible information. This event was planned and managed by the Diversity Project. We delivered the contents of the program based on the concept of management utilizing the metaverse, Ebara's challenge to promote the active participation of diverse human resources, and the task diversity promoted by the Diversity Project to prospective employees. In addition, Asami, the Representative Executive Officer and President, made a surprise appearance in the virtual space as an avatar. As a welcome message to the prospective employees, he explained the history of our company, which is celebrating its 111th year in business, and the promotion of the active participation of human resources as set forth in our long-term vision "E-Vision 2030."
3. Future developments
In the future, we plan to hold recruitment-related events* such as company information sessions, internships, and follow-up with new employees in the virtual space. The Diversity Project and Data Strategy teams plan to utilize the metaverse for recruitment PR and onboarding, utilizing Ebara's proprietary people analytics. Through a business strategy that incorporates the metaverse, we aim to improve the accuracy of management decision-making using digital twins, and use it for faster and more accurate management decisions.
EBARA Group aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and further enhance its corporate value by addressing key ESG issues based on its long-term vision and medium-term management plan.
