EBARA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "EBARA") has received an order from Kurume City for construction work to expand pump equipment at the Sasayama Drainage Pump Station (hereinafter referred to as "this station").
Received an order for expansion work for Kurume City's Sasayama Drainage Pump Station (Fukuoka Prefecture)
1. Background
Kurume City, where this facility is located, is the third largest city in Fukuoka Prefecture. This area has been undergoing urbanization for about 40 years, and is now surrounded by railways, major roads, companies, universities and many other facilities. In recent years, the risk of flooding in the region has increased due to the increasing frequency of heavy rains, making the role of this plant, which drains rainwater into the Chikugo River, a first-class river, all the more important.
2. Overview
The purpose of this order is to increase the drainage capacity of this plant by approximately 1.2 times by installing additional large drainage pumps.
