Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") has begun creating a map of the technologies and technical personnel possessed by the Ebara Group. We will continue to build and operate the database to utilize it in our future management, business, and human resources strategies, and will accelerate our growth strategy.

1. Background

Our company was founded in 1912 and is currently engaged in the hydraulic power business, centered on our original business of pumps, the environmental plant business, which handles waste treatment, and the precision and electronics business, which manufactures semiconductor manufacturing equipment and components. At our company, we utilize common core technologies across our business segments and technologies that have been developed independently for each business segment in our business and products, but we have taken stock of and updated the technical information and engineer information held by each business division and organization.
We have created a technical talent map and technical element table to visualize the technology and technical talent information held by our company, and will use this information to make strategic investments in the technology field and to formulate technical talent strategies. At the same time, we aim to further enhance synergies between our technologies and businesses, leading to the creation of new businesses and the development of new products.

2-1 Overview

As an example of visualizing the technical human resources map, the technologies possessed by each business and cross-business technologies that support our products are represented with symbols, like a "table of elements." We will create a database that links the technology corresponding to each symbol with the specialized human resources who have that technology and skill, and use it for the following purposes.

- Overall overview of EBARA Group's technologies
- Formulation and implementation of strategic technology strengthening measures
- Provision of new businesses, new products, and new services by combining core technologies
- Technology complementation and M&A development
- Technical skill succession
- Human resource rotation strategy
etc.

3. Future developments

By effectively and maximally managing and utilizing our technology and human resources data, including those of our overseas group companies, in conjunction with the data-driven HR approach promoted by our company through HR tech, we will contribute to creating a sustainable society and evolving, prosperous lifestyles, as outlined in our long-term vision "E-Vision 2030."

EBARA Group aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and further enhance its corporate value by addressing key ESG issues based on its long-term vision and medium-term management plan.
