Ebara Global Challenge Award

EBARA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "EBARA") held the "Ebara Global Challenge Award" (EGCA) online on May 18 for the third time this year. On June 9, at the Haneda Headquarters, President and Representative Executive Officer Asami held a trophy presentation ceremony for the Grand Award winning teams.

1. Background

The EBARA Group's long-term vision "E-Vision 2030" aims to sustainably solve social issues and increase corporate value through its business. In order to realize our vision for 2030, each and every employee must be creative and willing to take on new challenges. In 2020, the EBARA Group established EGCA as an award system to foster a corporate culture of competition and challenge and to recognize such challenges.

2-1 Overview

The EGCA is a system that evaluates and commends initiatives that take on challenges, regardless of the scale of the reforms, from "familiar improvements" to "challenging reforms" in daily operations. This year, 20 of the themes selected advanced to the finals. Group companies from China, Taiwan, Brazil, and Turkey also participated. In addition to the presentations at the final competition, the results of the employee votes received in advance will be reflected in the judging to determine the Grand Award and each award.
This year, the team that worked on the Precision & Electronics Division's Automated Dry Vacuum Pump Plant project (Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture) won the Grand Award.

3. Future Plans

We will continue to aim to be a corporate group where each and every employee can feel a sense of job satisfaction and ease of work, and can play an active role. As a company that provides products and services that support society, industry, and lifestyles, we will contribute to a sustainable society.

EBARA Group aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and further enhance its corporate value by addressing key ESG issues based on its long-term vision and medium-term management plan.
