1. Background
Our long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030," aims to promote the development of a work environment in which diverse employees can feel motivated and thrive, and to contribute to society in a sustainable manner through business growth.
2. Overview of EBARA Group Health and Productivity Management
In November 2020, we formulated the EBARA Group Health Management Declaration. In order to ensure that each and every employee is physically and mentally healthy, we have created a safety and health plan to promote health and productivity management and operate the PDCA cycle. The health and safety plans of each business site are discussed at the Central Health and Safety Committee, which promotes health and safety activities throughout the EBARA Group, and then reported to the Sustainability Committee, and we are working on continuous improvements across the entire company.
Especially in recent years, as the COVID-19 pandemic has led to the promotion of telecommuting, opportunities for employees to communicate with each other and consult with those around them have decreased. As a measure for employees who are suffering from mental disorders and stress due to a work environment that is different from the norm, we have set up an online consultation service operated by our in-house industrial health staff, and are working to prevent the occurrence of stress-related illnesses and to detect and respond to them early.
In addition, as part of our health management efforts, we are taking the following measures.
■ Thorough prevention of infectious diseases |
■ Stress relief and communication promotion activities, such as online distribution of mindfulness and yoga classes |
■ Achievement of 100% implementation rate of regular health checkups in the EBARA Group |
■ Implementing programs for health promotion and prevention of lifestyle-related diseases, such as advice on calorie and salt intake |
■ Measures against passive smoking: Removal of indoor smoking areas at all bases, subsidy for smoking cessation treatment costs through smoking cessation support programs |
■ Other: Initiatives for diseases specific to women, initiatives to be considerate of the elderly, etc. |
We will continue to prioritize safety and health, including the realization of work-life balance and mental health for employees, and promote the creation of a safe, secure, and comfortable workplace where each employee can fully demonstrate their capabilities.
EBARA Group aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and further enhance its corporate value by addressing key ESG issues based on its long-term vision and medium-term management plan.
