Presentation ceremony Presentation ceremony

EBARA Corporation (hereinafter, EBARA) and Nidec Corporation (hereinafter, EBARA) received a Certificate of Appreciation for Contribution to Support Activities from the Kyushu Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

1. Background

In August 2021, northern Kyushu experienced record rainfall. Since the Rokkaku River flows through the Saga Plain and is susceptible to the tides of the Ariake Sea, efforts have been made to improve its banks, excavate river channels, and establish recreational areas. However, this heavy rainfall was the highest ever recorded, so a large area was flooded in a short time.

2-1 Overview

This project was awarded in recognition of the swift efforts to restore the flooded Higashikawa Drainage Works in the Rokkaku River basin.
