The Futtsu Works of Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Ebara) has been awarded the "Excellent Measurement Management Workplace" by the Chiba Prefecture Measurement Association※1.

1. Background

Ebara products that support social infrastructure, including pumps, are measured for length, weight, gaps, pressure, etc. using a variety of "measuring instruments," and only products that pass final tests and inspections are shipped. The Chiba Prefectural Metrology Association evaluates registered businesses that conduct high-quality metrology management and aims to improve knowledge about metrology by widely publicizing the outline of that management.

2-1 Overview

Ebara's Futtsu Plant is involved in the production and repair of large and high-pressure pumps for various markets, including water infrastructure, oil & gas, and power generation, and is positioned as a mother factory that leads and supports each of our domestic and overseas bases. The measuring instruments used amount to approximately 7,000 items, including length measuring instruments, pressure gauges, and mass meters. Each weighing device is properly managed in a weighing control area equipped with a temperature-controlled room※2 within the facility. In the temperature-controlled room, equipment calibration is carried out in a constant temperature environment. The equipment is also designed to prevent temperature from being transmitted to the measuring instruments.
This award was given in recognition of the Futtsu Plant's proper measurement, use, and management of the wide variety of measuring equipment approved by the Chiba Prefecture Metrology Inspection Center.

3. Future developments

Ebara's long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030," aims to support "an earth-friendly society, social infrastructure where people can live safely and securely, and a world where people do not have to worry about water or food," and to "contribute to the creation of a sustainable society." The Futtsu Plant will continue to contribute to social and industrial development by providing high-quality products through proper measurement.

By addressing key ESG issues based on its long-term vision and medium-term management plan, the EBARA Group aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and further improve its corporate value.
