Virtual Antenna Shop opens in Brazil


EBARA Bombas América do Sul Ltda. is an overseas group company of Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara").(Brazil, hereafter: EBAS) opened its first e-commerce site, "Virtual Antenna Shop" on September 20th.

1. Background

EBAS opened an antenna shop specializing in pumps in April 2020. The shop was opened with the aim of contributing to the company's product development and service improvement through direct communication with customers, including as a showroom where customers can see the actual pumps and for after-sales service consultations.
By launching this online antenna shop, the company aims to further accelerate its market share expansion across the vast country of Brazil.

2-1 Overview

The biggest feature of the "Virtual Antenna Shop" is that it is run on a marketplace basis. By making the most of EBAS's network of more than 5,000 dealers and sales agents across Brazil, it is possible to strengthen the sales network throughout Brazil.

By registering the inventory of EBAS products held by dealers and sales agents on the online platform of the antenna shop operated by EBAS, customers can select where to purchase products after comparing prices of dealers close to their residential area and each store.
The reality is that many of the dealers are small family-run stores that find it difficult to operate an e-commerce site. Even small, locally based retailers can expect to increase their sales opportunities by going through the EBAS marketplace.
Another benefit is that EBAS handles product information management and technical support such as after-sales service, so there is no burden on stores that register with the marketplace.

3. Future developments

The "Virtual Antenna Shop" is not an e-commerce site run by EBAS alone, but rather a marketplace system in which EBAS coexists with retailers and sales agents of EBAS products, aiming to build a "win-win" e-commerce business scheme for both parties.
By developing sales strategies tailored to each regional market and supporting local communities, the EBARA Group will contribute to the realization of a sustainable world as outlined in its long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030."
