EBARA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "EBARA") received an award in the FY2020 "Excellent Construction and Excellent Construction Engineer" category from the Director General of the Kanto Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. These are in recognition of the "R1 Kyuhakugawa Drainage Station Pump Equipment Repair Work" completed by Ebara in June 2020.

1. Background
The Kyudo River is a first-class river that flows through the urban areas of Ota City and Oizumi Town in Gunma Prefecture and joins the left bank of the Tone River. When the Dodomari River Drainage Station rises due to heavy rains, a large drainage pump discharges river water into the Tone River with the aim of reducing inland water damage such as flooding.
2-1 Overview
Ebara is solving the problem of urban flooding, which has become increasingly severe in recent years, through comprehensive engineering, including proposals, designs, procurement, mechanical equipment construction, and after-sales service for pumping equipment that transports water. This work was carried out by bringing the pump to the factory for the purpose of improving the reliability and maintaining the function of the No. 2 main pump, which was added in 1989.

3. Future developments
