EBARA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "EBARA") received two awards from the Director General of the Chugoku Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in the third year of Reiwa: "Excellent Construction Construction Organization" and "Excellent Construction Engineer (Construction)". These are in recognition of the "Ohashi Kawakami Oikogawa Drainage Station Machinery and Equipment New Construction Construction" completed by Ebara in Shimane Prefecture in the second year of Reiwa.

Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture is a city where industry has developed through rivers and waterways since ancient times, and is also said to be the city of water. However, the development of residential land in the city center and elsewhere has progressed rapidly, and when it rains more than expected, the capacity of the drainage station cannot keep up, causing flood damage.

Ebara solves a wide range of water supply and sewerage problems through comprehensive engineering, including proposals, designs, procurement, mechanical equipment construction, and after-sales service for pumping equipment that transports water. The Ohashi Kawakami Oikogawa Drainage Station, which was constructed this time, aims to reduce inland water damage such as flooding caused by heavy rain by adding a large pump. With the addition of pumps, the amount of wastewater has been doubled.
