Tokai Agricultural Affairs Bureau Nikko River Estuary Drainage Station (Aichi Prefecture) received an order for maintenance work of large diameter pump equipment

EBARA Corporation (hereafter: EBARA) has received an order for pump equipment maintenance work at the Nikko River Estuary Drainage Station (hereafter: drainage station) in Aichi Prefecture. The drainage pump, which is the target equipment, has a caliber of 4600 mm and is one of the largest in Japan.

1. Background and Objectives

The Nikko River basin, which flows into Ise Bay, covers an area of approximately 300 km2 and is home to approximately one million people. Since roughly half of the area is at zero meters above sea level, this pumping station plays a major role as an infrastructure facility in an area where natural drainage is difficult. We will continue with this maintenance work so that the drainage pumping station will continue to be a facility that supports maintaining agricultural productivity and stable agricultural management in the region.

2. Overview

The equipment to be serviced this time is one of Japan's largest pumps, with a capacity to discharge 75 tons per second.
