EBARA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "EBARA") received the "Central Safety Council Chairman's Award for Excellent Safety Management Construction in FY3 of Reiwa" from the Japan Water Resources Agency (hereinafter referred to as the Japan Water Resources Agency). This is in recognition of the "Boso Conduit Emergency Renovation Oami and Nagagara Pumping Station Pump Equipment Renovation Work" completed by Ebara in the second year of Reiwa.

2-1 Overview
At the two pumping stations in Oami and Nagagara, where the construction was carried out this time, we renovated the aging pump equipment, including system design, fabrication, and installation. Of the several pumping stations in the Boso Canal*1 that traverses Chiba Prefecture, the water assembled from the Oami Pumping Station is raised about 70 meters and delivered to the Nagagara Dam, and the water sent from the Nagagara Pumping Station is delivered to the Otaki Water Purification Plant, which is about 30 km away, and is used locally for domestic and industrial purposes*2.

2. Future Developments
Ebara's long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030," aims to support "an earth-friendly society, social infrastructure where people can live safely and securely, and a world where people do not have to worry about water or food," and to "contribute to the creation of a sustainable society." Ebara's social systems business will support the strengthening of social infrastructure through the development of pumps with improved drainage capacity and the provision of easily maintained equipment and services.
