EBARA Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "EBARA") has completed the construction of machinery and equipment at the Shin-Senda Pumping Station (hereinafter referred to as "Kiba"), which is responsible for draining rainwater in the urban area of Hiroshima. Combined with the newly added pumps and conventional pumps, the total drainage capacity of this plant is 1.4 times that of the previous one.

1. Background

The central urban area of Hiroshima City is located in the lowland area of the Ota River basin, and is characterized by the fact that the ground is lower than sea level at high tide. Therefore, as a countermeasure against flooding caused by heavy rains caused by abnormal weather in recent years, it is expected to increase the drainage capacity of the airport and further reduce damage. EBARA solves a wide range of water supply and sewage issues through comprehensive engineering of proposals, design, procurement, mechanical and equipment construction, and after-sales service of pump equipment.

2-1 Overview

The full-speed, full-water level advance standby pump** delivered this time is a facility that can handle a large amount of rainwater inflow caused by guerrilla torrential rains.
