Selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's public technical research project "Initiatives for the development of new drainage pumps"
1. Background of the project call
Many of Japan's public infrastructure facilities were built during the period of high economic growth, and a high proportion of these facilities are more than 40 years old. Even at drainage pumping stations, the pump equipment within the facilities, which has been operated with measures to extend its lifespan until now, is reaching the end of its service life, and a "major renewal era" is upon us for many of the machines and equipment. Given this background, there is a need to develop methods and technologies for updating river pump equipment efficiently and effectively while keeping costs down. Through this initiative, EBARA will contribute to the realization of new drainage pump equipment that utilizes mass products.
3. Future developments
In its long-term vision, E-Vision 2030, EBARA has set "contributing to the creation of a sustainable society" as an important issue. Through our business activities, we will support social infrastructure that allows people to live safely and securely.
EBARA Group aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and further enhance its corporate value by addressing key ESG issues based on its long-term vision and medium-term management plan.
