We would like to inform you of the status of our response as follows.
On February 15, 2021, we detected a problem in the internal system at Elliott's headquarters and confirmed an attack by ransomware on the email system and servers. The attack has resulted in some disruption to production and order processing at Elliott's factories. After detecting the ransomware, our company and Elliott immediately began data analysis and investigations by experts to confirm the extent of the damage to the system, identify potential future risks, and prevent the damage from spreading.
Our headquarters and Elliott are working to clarify the extent of the damage to our group companies and to investigate the cause. System recovery is progressing smoothly, and at present, recovery of major systems has been completed.

No information leaks have been confirmed in relation to this attack, and emails sent from the EBARA Group will not cause any harm to customers or anyone outside the company. This attack was against Elliott's servers, and our headquarters has a different network environment, so there is no impact from this attack.
