EBARA Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "EBARA") has delivered the "Raku Inspection Pump" to the Hakozaki Pumping Station, which was ordered by Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, for the first time in Fukuoka City.
In response to the large-scale flood damage that occurred in 1999, Fukuoka City formulated the "Rainwater Improvement Do Plan" and is promoting the development of drainage facilities and other facilities in the 59 districts that are our priority. The Hakozaki Pumping Station, to which EBARA delivered the pumping equipment, was built in April 2020 with the aim of reducing flood damage in the Hakozaki area, which is one of the priority areas.
Pumping stations, which play a major role as infrastructure facilities, are required to start up reliably and operate stably, so proper maintenance and management over the long term are essential. The pump delivered this time has a new shape with a submersible bearing, which is one of the important components, installed at the bottom of the impeller. As a result, there is no need to raise the pump to the ground every time it is inspected, or to disassemble the pump and replace the bearing. There is no need for heavy machinery such as cranes, and the time required for maintenance and management work is shortened, resulting in a significant reduction in maintenance costs. In addition, in this pump installation work, construction work was underway by up to six companies, mainly Ebara. In recognition of our efficient site management and high construction quality, we have received awards from our customers as a contractor with excellent construction performance.
