Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Ebara) received the "Construction Industry Talent Securing and Nurturing Contribution Construction Award" for the first time from the Director of the Kinugawa Dam Integrated Management Office of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Kanto Regional Development Bureau for the "H30 Affiliated Facility Pump Equipment Repair Project."

1. Background and Overview

Ebara solves each issue in water infrastructure, including water supply and sewerage systems and irrigation※1, through comprehensive engineering, including proposals, designs, procurement, mechanical equipment construction, and after-sales service for equipment such as pumps and blowers.
The facility where the "H30 Linked Facility Pump Equipment Repair Project"※2, completed by Ebara, was carried out, is a rare facility that adjusts the water volume of two dams, the only one of its kind in Japan. During normal times, the dam provides a stable supply of water to the fields and cities downstream, and protects the town through flow control during floods and droughts. Since 2017, EBARA has been holding site tours for local elementary school students. The purpose of this tour is to deepen understanding of the dam-related facilities in the area where they live and the people who work there, and to let them see first-hand large pumps and other equipment that they normally do not see, and to convey Ebara's contributions to society through its business.
This award is in recognition of the efforts that lead to securing and nurturing such construction industry workers, and the excellent construction results that have been achieved. ※3

3. Future developments

Ebara's long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030," aims to support "an earth-friendly society, social infrastructure where people can live safely and securely, and a world where people do not have to worry about water or food," and to "contribute to the creation of a sustainable society." Ebara's social systems business will continue to support the strengthening of social infrastructure through the development of pumps with improved drainage capacity and the provision of easily maintained equipment and services.

By addressing key ESG issues based on its long-term vision and medium-term management plan, the Ebara Group aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and further improve its corporate value.
