Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") agrees with the philosophy of "Science Scastle 2020" held by Ribanese Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ribanese"), to support the research activities and science education of junior and senior high school students, who will lead the next generation, and to develop science and technology. The four teams selected for the EBARA Award have been selected to receive grants.

1. Background and Objectives

The purpose of this grant program is to provide an opportunity for students to take a step toward becoming future leaders who will play an active role in society through research. This award is conducted in the hope that junior high and high school students who need knowledge, experience, and money for the research they want to engage in will start their research as an opportunity to become researchers who "support the world with technology, passion, and technology." The products and technologies provided by the five businesses developed by EBARA are deeply related to various fluids, such as water, air, heat, and gas. For this reason, the EBARA Prize is a grant program that supports ideas that imagine a new future through research on "flow."

2-1 Overview

We received 29 submissions for research and development that wanted to solve social issues with the keyword "flow". After a careful selection of application documents and online interviews, the following four proposals were selected.

3. Future developments

In addition to providing research funding to the four selected universities, one researcher each from Ebara and one staff member from Leave a Nest will act as advisors to support the researchers and promote research activities together for approximately four months. Each team plans to present its results at the Science Castle Kanto Conference in December and at our internal research report meeting in March 2023.

EBARA Group aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and further enhance its corporate value by addressing key ESG issues based on its long-term vision and medium-term management plan.
