EBARA Ltd. (EBARA) completed the renovation of facilities at two of the multiple pumping stations in the following locations.

1. Background

In the Kujukuri and Minami-Boso regions of Chiba Prefecture, there are many factories in the Keiyo coastal industrial area due to population growth and urbanization. Therefore, a stable supply of tap water and industrial water is required. In the Boso Peninsula, where sufficient water sources are available, a total conduit channel, which is about 100 kilometers in length, is made and water is transported from the Tone River, the water source, to the necessary locations. The pumping stations located in each part of the Boso conduit play a role in sending water to dams and water purification plants, supporting local life and industry.

EBARA solves the problems of water supply and sewerage over a wide range by proposing pumping equipment, designing, procuring, installing machinery and equipment, and comprehensively engineering after-sales service for each purpose.

2. Overview

The two pumping stations of the Oami and Long Shaft, which were constructed this time, were renovated, including the design, manufacture, and installation of aging pumping facilities. The water assembled from the Oami pumping station is raised by about 70 meters and sent to the long-handle dam. The water sent from the Nagara pumping station is delivered to the Otaki water purification plant approximately 30 kilometers away, which is used for domestic and industrial purposes.
